It must be considered whether the mere cleaning of a workpiece is sufficient for the subsequent processes .
Technical oxygen is usually used as the process gas , but room air is often sufficient ; dry and oil-free compressed air is usually used for atmospheric pressure plasma . The plasma treatment can be repeated and there are no toxic fumes .
