What is the lifespan of Plasma Cleaning using Atmospheric Plasma? (Atmospheric pressure plasma)

Unfortunately, no generally valid safe numbers can be given here. The lifespan depends on  storage conditions, treatment parameters and the degree of contamination.

Examples:

1. Humid atmosphere and elevated temperatures (above 20°C) drastically reduce the life of the plasma treatment.
2. A multiple treatment increases the lifetime of treatment.
3. In general, a recommendation applies to metals, glass and ceramic surfaces: gluing, printing or painting should be carried out within one hour after the plasma treatment in order to achieve maximum success.
4. The following lifespan for plastics applies to:

• • PA (with and without glass fiber reinforcement): 1 - 2 weeks
  • PP, PE: We recommend further treatment within 1 to max. 2 days
  • PC: 2-5 days
  • ABS, PC/ABS: 2 - 5 days

Please note that these are approximate values. Depending on the manufacturer, there may be serious differences due to the use of additives and release agents.
